Your melody in my memory- Poem

So i realize that this is in no way really structured. It's almost a messy array of thoughts which kinda came all at once. Just the idea of a human being seeming like a melody to me. I thought I'd share it anyway.
If you were a melody…
You’d be an unhinged remedy,
Of what an angel is supposed to be.
If an angel has flaws, then let all the laws, that say we’re supposed to be perfect,
Be tossed from its course.
Because I think the good in you, shines through the broken cracks.
And when I try to create your melody into a tangible sound,
I imagine you to be soft.
Softer than any key.
Even purer than the sound of an antique cello.
But I can’t create, what was never meant to be.
Even from the thousands of miles that my heart resides when compared to yours,
It doesn't matter if we’re two inches apart, or seas away,
It’s not like it’ll ever be the same,
But I can’t help but hope that you’ll find your way.
To a better place, where no one can hinder your melody.
Where the people will only help you grow.
And this thought, is the seed of faith I’ll sew.
Because it reminds me of better times,
And helps me dream of better things.
Despite all that this cynical world brings,
Your melody once helped me sing,
And dance under stars of indifference,
To all the barriers that make us different.
Your melody leads, it doesn’t follow.
It doesn’t borrow my pain, to satisfy its tomorrow.
I’m sorry that I was so cynical, that I lost my way,
And it must have left you afraid,
I’m sorry you thought this was all your fault.
And you thought you were the only cause.
I was just trying to love my melody,
As much as I loved yours...
Don’t act like you don’t see me.
Because I see the way you glimpse at me. Silent as you maybe.
I forgive you for what you’ve said, and all the things we’ve done,
And please forgive me for leaving, I suppose I’m just young.
Someday I will forget you, when I learn to be completely free.
But for today, just for a day, let me hear your melody.
